Chief Executive Officer
Len Jornlin is a clean-energy business leader with over 26 years of experience in more than 45 countries. He has in-depth expertise in developing solar, biomass, and clean-coal plant retrofit projects. Len has served in senior management positions across the clean-energy value chain, growing IPO-track businesses and leading U.S. and International business segments of large global corporations.
While at BP Solar, Len led and closed the initial deal that helped get SunEdison up-and-running in 2005 after negotiations with Goldman Sachs, and his team developed and supplied all of the initial US projects. He then joined SunEdison, starting and leading the organization’s international operations, which grew from start-up to 7 operating countries in just 2.5 years and a 1.2GW project pipeline across 4 continents. Earlier in his career, Len served in management positions with AstroPower, Bell Atlantic Regulatory Affairs (now Verizon), and the Governor of Delaware.
He earned a Masters degree from the University of Chicago in International Business with a research concentration in economic development and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations/Political Science from Colgate University.
Len joined Empower Energies as its Chief Executive Officer in November, 2012.
