Empower Energies Announces Promotion of Michael Belko to Chief Executive Officer

Empower Energies’ board of directors announced the promotion of the firm’s executive, Michael Belko, to President and Chief Executive Officer following his term as Chief Operating Officer. As a long-term executive of the firm, Michael has been instrumental in the tremendous growth of Empower and its evolution as a trusted renewable energy program manager, project developer and financier for large commercial and industrial customers. As CEO, Michael will continue to bring best practices to all segments of the company, as well as explore strategic opportunities for continued growth. Michael will also continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.

Michael has extensive experience delivering a high volume of solar power projects while maintaining superior client satisfaction and optimal performance. Before his tenure with Empower, he held positions in several prominent renewable energy firms including former President of RCS Energy Services, where in less than 2 years he built a $35 million solar EPC company with a $200 million backlog, and as Senior Director of Operations at SunEdison, where he oversaw North American EPC services successfully delivering close to a gigawatt of solar projects.
