Empower Energies Executive Team Adds Industry Veteran as Chief Financial Officer

Bethesda,MD January 28, 2021

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Scott will lead the company’s finance team including all corporate and project capital raising. Scott’s deep industry experience in financing renewable and conventional generation projects aligns with Empower’s financing needs around its own growing pipeline of C&I renewable projects.

As the former CFO of Moxie Energy (IPP), former Managing Director at AES Solar, and Vice President of Project Finance at Kenetech and ABN-Amro, Scott has over thirty years of project finance and development experience in the power industry. His background includes project closings for a wide range of technologies as well as projects in the renewable and non-renewable sectors.

“The volume of transactions and innovative C&I renewable technologies we are working on for our Fortune 500 and channel partner clients necessitated bringing in a veteran CFO with Scott’s project finance credentials and connections”, said John Clapp, CEO, Empower Energies. “Scott has jumped in with both feet and is a tremendous complement to our PPA origination, turnkey construction and project M&A teams.”
